ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO B.A.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO B.A.Semester I and II

A person who has passed one of the following examinations shall be eligible to join B.A.I as the case may be:
(a) +2 Class of the Senior Secondary Education of Punjab School Education Board.
(b) Any other examination recognized by Punjab University as equivalent to examination mentioned in (a) above.

Note:
(1) A student whose result of +2 examination conducted by the School Boards (in the region) and C.B.S.E. (result of such schools as are located in the jurisdiction of the regional Universities/Chandigarh, U.T. or examination conducted by the Punjab University) is published late may be admitted to an affiliated College, without late fee, within 15 working days of the declaration of the result and her attendance shall be counted from the date of admission. This would also be applicable in the case of Open School of C.B.S.E. New Delhi/National Open School. In all such cases the Principal shall certify after verification of the date of the declaration of the result.

(2) Candidates who have passed +2 Exam. (without English) from any recognised Board/University/Body/Council are eligible to join B.A.Part I Class if they fulfil other requirements such as minimum percentage of marks etc.

(3) A candidate joining B.A. Part-I course shall select her subjects in accordance to the instructions laid down in the Regulation of Punjab University. She is allowed to change her elective subjects within 15 days of joining B.A. Part-I.

(4) A student who has been placed under compartment in the +2 examination conducted in one subject only and attained atleast 20% marks in the subjects of compartment shall be eligible to seek admission to the first year of B.A. course under 10+2+3 system of education. The students who have compartment in +2 class with less than 20% marks may be also allowed to be admitted provided they secure 20% or above marks in the supplementary examination upto the date of admission.

(5) Students who have passed +2 examination from recognised Open School are eligible for admission to the B.A.1st year course, only if the result is shown as “Pass” in their certificate issued by the said Open Schools and they have obtained the required percentage of marks prescribed under the University Regulations for admission to the concerned course. In case their result has not been shown as “Pass” in the relevant column of the said certificate, they, being ineligible, will not be admitted.

Provided that:
A candidate joining B.A.I class should have obtained atleast 35% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects including the marks obtained by her in the compartment subject (Theory and Practicals taken together) taken up by her at the 10+2 examination.

B.A. SEMESTER III AND IV AND PART III(ANNUAL SYSTEM)

Students in B.A.Semester II and III will continue with the same subjects as studied in B.A. semester I/II .

A person who has passed any of the following examination shall be eligible to join the second year of B.A. of +3 scheme, as the case may be.

1. B.A.I of this University from this college.

2. Any other examination recognised by Punjab University as equivalent to its B.A.I examination.

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO B.A.III

A person who has passed any of the following examination shall be eligible to join third year of B.A. of +3 scheme, as the case may be.

1. B.A. II examination of this University from this college.

2. Any other examination recognised by Punjab University as equivalent to B.A.II examination.

A student who desires to seek admission in B.Sc. Part I under +3 Scheme must have:

1. +2 class fo the Senior Secondary Education of Punjab School Education Board (Mohali)

2. Any other examination recognized by Punjab University as equivalent to examination mentioned above:

3.She should have secured at least 50% of the total aggregate.

Note:

(1) A student whose result of +2 examination conducted by the School Boards (in the region) and C.B.S.E. (4) A candidate joining B.Sc. Part I class should have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects including the marks obtaining by her in the subject of compartment(20%). Theory and practicals taken up by her at +2 examination..
