Extension Lecture on JalliaWala Bagh Centenary
An Extension Lecture was conducted by Dasmesh Girls College on April 10th, 2019 to remember the 100 years of Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Prof. Maninder Kaur from the Department of History, was the main orator for this program. She expressed her views on Jallianwala Bagh Massacre: Its impact on National Movement. All the teachers and students paid homage to the martyrs of the aforesaid tragedy.
Jallianwala Bagh Massacre will always be remembered as one of the most heinous, inhuman incident of India`s Pre-Independence era. It took place on Sunday, April 13th, 1919. When Punjabis were celebrating their traditional festive of Baisakhi. On the completion of hundred years of this incident, the student of Dasmesh Girls College paid their tribute to the martyrs by performing pledge ceremony on 8th April, 2019 in the Morning Assembly.
One day trip to Sultanpur Lodhi was organised to celebrate 550th Prakash Purab of Shir Guru Nanak Dev ji
In November 2018, the whole world will be celebrating the 550th birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. In Punjab, a year- long preparation for the celebration of the 550th birth anniversary was launched . To celebrate this occasion, Dasmesh Girls College arranged a spiritual trip to Sultanpur Lodhi on 6th April, 2019. Under the supervision of teachers, 350 girls went to this trip. The Teachers and students visited Gurudwara Shri Ber Sahib, Gurudwara Shri Hatt Sahib and the old home of Bebe Nanki and paid their obeisance to these holy places.

Guru Granth Sahib Yatra
To mark the 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev ji, Guru Shabad Yatra was commenced from 07 January 2019. It was started from Sultanpur Lodhi and passes through different parts of state.
On 2 April 2019, Dasmesh Girls College welcomed this Shabad Yatra in the Campus. All the Trust Members, Director, Principal, Staff members and the local public greeted this Yatra. The Guru Shabad Yatra stayed in the campus for one night and blessed us with its presence.
